Hi Guys,

It has been a interesting week so far. We could not get into PAP so we went into the Dominican and had a bus take us to PAP about a 7 hour ride. We have been repairing structural cracks in a church near where we are. The people have been too afraid to worship until the building has been fixed. We have 6 RN's 1 DR's and 11 of us guys. The women have been doing medical clinics, one in downtown PAP and the other about an 1 hour and a half ride outside of PAP (maybe only about 10 - 15 miles) in Leogane on the coast. Today we toured PAP and went up to pick up the women, the damage is unimaginable. People are in makeshift tents in the roads, and just about everywhere you can see. There are more damaged structures than not. The work we are doing seems like taking one grain of sand from a beach.

Just about all the electric poll distribution looks like the one in the attached photo. Thanks, Bob Parent
Go Angela, Amy, Sue, and Sarah!! You guys are doing great!!! Thanks for sending us this great picture in front of the Nazarene Clinic...Every one looks great!!! Yeah!! Angela perez, RN writes.. I attempted to upload photos, but they were uploading verrrrrry slow.. so maybe tomorrow. On the last day, I plan on taking everybody's memory chips from their cameras and uploading everyone's pictures onto my laptop. Once we get back to the States, I will buy some CD ROM drives and make copies for everybody. The boys went to work today, clearing some of the rubble around the compound. Tomorrow, the plan is for the nurses to go into town.. and stay there until Thursday. Franz will give us an update as to where we will be staying and all. As a team, we are really enjoying each other. We really do fit together nicely, and we all applaud you and God for putting us together. Tomorrow, hopefully I can get some pictures to you. Until then, take care!
Love ya
Angie

Julie's inspiration

I am thrilled to be going on this trip! Came across an ideal verse for us just a few days ago...Isaiah 54:10 "Though the mountains be shaken and the hills be removed, yet my unfailing love for you will not be shaken nor my covenant of peace be removed," says the Lord who has compassion on you.

says Julie Morgan...RN on the team, "Operation Jericho, Waiting for the Promise Land"!! Go Julie...
